Putting the Mad in Madison
When eating your way through Madison, it’s evident that the restaurants of MAD Hospitality are the cornerstone of this city’s delicious and diverse well of restaurants. Owned by Preston Snyder, the group boasts an array of memorable concepts, each with its own personality and design and many of which are led by Executive Chef Ryan Caldwell. The group’s latest venture is Patisserie on Main, a chic grab-and-go French pastry shop run in part by Executive Pastry Chef Edouard Fenouil, followed by the recently opened fine-dining establishment The Dining Room. From the swanky décor to the ever-changing menu and insightful wine pairings, a meal spent here is one to cherish.
Around the corner is Hart & Crown Tavern, a cozy British-style pub where you can enjoy classic pub fare like Bangers n Smash, a Scotch Egg, and more. Or go next door to Mad Taco for fresh takes on street tacos and other favorite Mexican-inspired cuisine. Across the square is The Sinclair, a gas station-turned-local breakfast place that also pulls double duty as a charming spot to enjoy an evening cocktail on the patio. It doesn’t stop there, though. In the coming years, you might even see a vintage-esque motel on the horizon for MAD Hospitality.
