Stewed Okra and Tomatoes

Ingredients
  1. 1 tablespoon butter
  2. ⅔ cup chopped onion
  3. 2 cloves garlic, minced
  4. 1 pound fresh okra
  5. 2 (10-ounce) cans diced tomatoes with mild green chiles
  6. ¼ cup chicken broth
  7. ½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
  1. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; cook for 4 minutes or until onion softens. Stir in okra, all remaining ingredients, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer, covered, for 20 to 25 minutes or until okra is tender.
