One of the greatest benefits of the fall harvest is the colorful variety of pumpkins and gourds that come in all shapes and sizes. The small orange Jack B. Little pumpkin and the off-white Baby Boo variety are perfect for tablescapes and other decorative projects around your home. They’re easy to handle and relatively inexpensive, so you can buy them in bulk. They are also a safer option for children to craft with instead of carving larger pumpkins.
Look out for mold when you pick your pumpkins, and wash and dry them well before adding any paint. Here, we brushed on metallic gold craft paint, stems included, and made sure to get ample paint in the grooves. Once the paint dries, they have a pretty gilded look.
