In a large saucepan, bring 3½ cups water and butter to a boil over medium-high heat. Stir in pasta and sauce packets. Reduce heat to medium, and cook, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes. Stir in tomatoes, and let stand for 5 minutes. Garnish with basil if desired; serve immediately.
