Boiled Peanuts
 
Makes 10 servings
Ingredients
  • 1 (24-ounce) package raw peanuts
  • ½ cup kosher salt
Instructions
  1. In a large Dutch oven, add peanuts and water to cover. Cover and let stand for at least 12 hours or up to 24 hours. Drain.
  2. In Dutch oven, bring peanuts, salt, and fresh water to cover to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium, cover, and cook, stirring occasionally, until peanuts are tender, about 5 hours, adding water as necessary to keep peanuts covered. Drain before serving.
